CMI add value to ‘Lessons Learnt’ project

Background

Cypad is part of the ParentPay Group, the UK market leader in online payments, parent engagement and school meal management software. Cypad’s suite of apps not only helps school caterers to take on mealtimes; from meal selection, registration, production, payments and performance monitoring, but also supports the UK’s largest fast-food chains to ensure efficiency and health & safety across their sites. Cypad is trusted by 9,000 UK sites to deliver a web-based solution for catering, cleaning, and facilities management.

Requirement

Following a recent implementation of the Cypad system into a large local authority catering service, Cypad’s then Managing Director, Jonn Fredericks, wanted to undertake a ‘lessons learnt’ assessment of the project so that feedback from the implementation could be captured and used to identify areas of best practice or to identify and address any issues with the process.

Jonn approached CMI Synergy’s Darren Marshall to help provide them with an independent process.

Approach

CMI identified and conducted 1-2-1 interviews with key contacts from across the customer’s catering team who were involved in the different aspects of the implementation process. This enabled CMI to obtain feedback from multiple viewpoints.

The feedback was collated and organised into themes for replay with Cypad’s project and development team at a workshop. The workshop enabled Cypad team members to review good and bad aspects of the project and to identify improvements to aspects of their process.

Outcomes

The workshop material as well as the agreed actions were documented and handed over to the Client to implement. As well as identifying and replaying lessons learned from across the implementation process, CMI was also able to add additional value by identifying potential business opportunities through wider application of the product and using video technology to simplify product training and support.
