CMI’s Darren Marshall describes project delivery set against unprecedented circumstances
Not even the COVID-19 crisis lockdown could stop the launch of the new unitary authority for Buckinghamshire on 1st April 2020. It brought together four district and one county council into one organisation.
Selected by leading, change management firm ‘AMEO’, CMI’s Darren Marshall provided targeted support to the Council’s Programme Management Office. Darren said, ‘Representing AMEO to work on this fast-paced programme gave us a chance to showcase our experience across a diverse range of issues. The final weeks of the project saw us face the challenge of working through the Coronavirus lockdown. We supported our client remotely via video conferencing and other digital apps in order to get critical activity across the line’.
AMEO have subsequently retained CMI to help the new unitary authority to coordinate delivery of the programme’s second phase whilst the Council focusses on its COVID-19 response.
